WORKSHOP DELIVERIES

IBM Lotus has 4 Technical skill tests and 3 levels of Technical Skills enablement workshops.
The workshops are all available now in two formats:
        1. Scheduled 5-day Virtual, Instructor-led Workshop (students access remotely using their own workstation)
         2. Self-Paced (self-study with live labs accessed remotely)

NOTE: for students to receive full SUT Technical certification, they need to progress, in the following order:

CURRENT STATUS

14 February 2011:

        a. The Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Technical Skills Workshopa are all available as self-paced and scheduled 5-day Instructor Led, Virtual delivery, remote access with live instructor without any travel.

        b. The description and schedule for each workshop:

NOTE: There must be at least 5 qualified students signed up and accepted for each Virtual workshop delivery one week before the start date, otherwise the workshop will be canceled.

  

STUDENT PREPARATION

Student prepartation for any of the Virtual workshops during the week before workshop start.

Students must set-up their workstation before start of the Virtual workshop:

1. Students who are accepted in the workshop will get an e-mail from "centrasupport@saba.com" with instructions on how to set-up and access the learning environment. This will take about 30 to 50 minutes to complete and verify your system can reach the remote servers.
2. Students who are accepted into the workshop will get another e-mail from the workshop instructors on how to download and configure the tools used during the workshop labs and the remote access client to reach the remote servers for the labs. This will take about 4 to 8 hours to download, and about 2 to 4 hours to configure. This should be done during the work week so that the workshop instructors can assist if needed.
3. Students who are accepted into the workshop will also receive a link to download the presentations and labs for the workshop.

ENROLLMENT AND ACCEPTANCE

Enrollment and acceptance for any of the Self-Paced workshops.

Self-Paced workshop have the SAME content as the Virtual, Instructor led workshops, the difference is that the student reviews the presentations themselves (using detailed speaker notes) and then requests a 1 week time period to run the labs against the live SUT servers. Requirements for acceptance into the Self-Paced training is the same as the Virtual, Instructor led workshops (TSM test passing and deployment experiences).

To enroll in Self-Paced, send an e-mail to suttrain@de.ibm.com " with the following information:

Name of Workshop:
Student (Lotus Notes) e-mail ID:
Confirmation of meeting the qualification requirements:
Request for 1 week period to run the labs against the live SUT Servers

BASIC WORKSHOP

The Basic Workshop is delivered in both Instructor Led Virtual, and Self-Paced - Both have the exact same content..

Students qualify for the Basic SUT Workshop in the following manner:

After Completing the Basic Workshop:

1. Participate in 1 or more Proof Of Concept customer engagements for SUT installation and operation.

2. Take and pass the Basic TSM test (M42) at a Prometrics testing center
